Welcome to Maru Sushi Korean Grill, a delightful fusion restaurant that beautifully melds Korean barbecue and sushi delights in the heart of Omaha, Nebraska. Located at 5036 S 108th St, Maru isn’t just a meal; it’s a culinary experience that invites you to indulge your senses.

Entering this hidden gem, you’ll be greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, where jazz music softly plays in the background, setting a laid-back vibe. The decor exudes a nostalgic charm with touches of old-school elegance, making it a perfect spot for casual dining or special occasions.

Maru’s diverse menu boasts an array of Korean and Japanese dishes, making it an ideal destination for those craving authentic flavors. The Dolsot Bibimbap is a standout favorite, as customer Bill Holbrook raves, "When I'm craving Korean, this is always my first choice.” This sizzling rice dish, served in a hot stone bowl, is topped with seasonal vegetables, protein of your choice, and a perfect dollop of gochujang, delivering a symphony of flavors that dances on the palate.

For those who enjoy a bit of heat, the spicy edamame provides a balanced blend of sweet and savory that’ll keep your taste buds tingling. Don’t miss the fried calamari and dumpling appetizers, which Wai Chan describes as a “win,” alongside the satisfying crunch of the Korean pancake. The complimentary Korean side dishes are a delightful surprise, showcasing a variety of flavors that reflect the rich tradition of Korean cuisine.

The sushi here is not to be overlooked either. As Brian Weber notes, “The best tasting sushi around,” the rolls are delicately crafted to highlight the freshness of each type of fish, ensuring each bite is a delectable reminder of what sushi should taste like. While a few customers mention experiencing slower service during peak hours, the quality of the food consistently earns rave reviews, making it worth the wait.

Maru Sushi Korean Grill is more than just a restaurant; it’s a hidden gem that deserves more attention. Customer Sadie Smorgasbord captures this sentiment perfectly, stating, “I am so surprised more people don’t talk about this place.” Whether you’re a seasoned fan of Korean BBQ or brand new to the experience, Maru offers a welcoming atmosphere and flavorful dishes that will keep you coming back for more.

So why not gather your friends or family and head out for a dining adventure at Maru? You won’t be disappointed!

Went on Sunday when they have all day happy hour. Pricing was good for the happy hour with discounts ranging from $1.50 to $4.00 (Less if its the nigiri). The calamari and dumplings were a win for me. The Korean pancake was well received. I liked the Korean side dishes a lot. I felt the rolls were ok. I didn't realize most of what we were ordering was deep fried though and I'm not the biggest fan of that. For happy hour price I'd give this a 4/5. Parking is easy with a large lot.

The Dolsot Bibimbap is fantastic! When I'm craving Korean, this is always my first choice. Service is always great. The spicy edamame was perfectly balanced with the right amount of heat, sweet and savory! You won't be disappointed!

**HIDDEN GEM** I used to live in Japan and this place is a hidden gem for Korean food. Love the food and love the place. I am so surprised more people don’t talk about this place. They had you a sampler plate as an appetiser and you never seem to wait long for your food. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

I wasn't disappointed to be honest. Place it's great, has a little bit old school vibe in it but nothing bad about that... jazz music makes it like you're in a fancy place or is it that's just me? We ordered sushi, fried calamari ( best one so far in omaha in my opinion ) and pork marinated. Won't disappoint i promise!

Such a delicious and fresh, and friendly Korean Sushi Grill and restaurant. We enjoyed plum wine and appetizers, and Miso soup while we waited for our Korean BBQ Special, Seafood soup, and Beef Udon noodles. They also provided a complimentary plate of kimchi , bean sprouts, broccoli and potatoes. The staff was so kind to prepare the BBQ for us as this was our first time experiencing something you cook yourself at the table. It was so fun and flavorful. They explained what to pair with which bites of food. I hadn't had kimchi before. It is so full of flavor and spicy. The BBQ beef was prepared with onions, and the. You place it in romaine hearts and top with black bean paste, jalapeño, garlic slivers....bursting with flavors ! The seafood soup was spicy and had jumbo shrimp, mussels, octopus, and clams. The Udon noodles were perfectly chewy and delicious. We had a great lunch and had leftovers to take for later. I highly recommend this Korean Grill, we will try the Sushi next time. They have a robust menu of rolls. Friendly staff that show pride of ownership.

Delicious sushi! For a Friday night, service was very slow, I only saw 4 employees total working. Our server was friendly and doing her best, but it was a long meal. I ordered a martini, tasted delicious, but was put in a beer glass with ice... Will go back for the awesome sushi, hoping the service and drinks mis-cues are improved.
